Terms of service.
These terms govern your use of Lemonmint. We've kept the legalese to a minimum and added plain-English summaries where it helps. The most important thing to know first: Lemonmint is not a substitute for medical advice. Skip to section 05 if that's all you need.
Draft. We're publishing this ahead of launch so you can read it before you sign up. It isn't final — specific clauses may still change.
The short version.
Lemonmint is for personal weight management. Not for medical diagnosis or treatment.
The AI team is helpful, not infallible. Nora and Sage may get things wrong. Verify anything you'd act on medically.
You can cancel anytime. Most features are free. Subscriptions, when added, will be cancellable from the App Store or Google Play.
You agree to these terms by creating an account or using the app. If you don't agree, don't use it — and email
support@mylemonmint.comwith questions.
02Who can use Lemonmint.
Eligibility.
To create a Lemonmint account you must be at least 18 years old, capable of entering into a binding agreement, and not prohibited from doing so under applicable law.
What you promise.
- The information you give us is accurate
- You'll keep your account info up to date
- You won't share your account with anyone else
- You're using Lemonmint for yourself, not on behalf of a third party (clinic partners — see our separate Partner Terms)
Where we operate.
Lemonmint is available in regions supported by the App Store and Google Play. We do not knowingly serve users in jurisdictions where the service would be illegal.
03Your account.
You're responsible for what happens under your account: your password, your devices, what you log.
- Use a strong password you don't reuse anywhere else
- Tell us right away if your account is accessed without permission
- Update your contact email if it changes
- Don't create multiple accounts to circumvent rules or limits
We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. We'll tell you why and how to appeal — see section 10.
04What Lemonmint provides.
Lemonmint is a mobile app and supporting web service for tracking meals and weight, with AI-driven coaching from specialists called Nora (nutrition) and Sage (coaching). The current feature set includes:
- Photo and text meal logging with automatic recognition
- Weight tracking
- A social-style feed where the AI team comments on your entries
- Weekly reviews of patterns and progress
- Optional connection to your clinical dietitian via partner code
- Account and data management via the app and web
Feature changes. We may add, change, or remove features over time. Material changes are announced before they happen. Some features may move to paid tiers — see section 07.
05Not medical advice.
Lemonmint provides general nutritional information and behavioural coaching. We are not licensed medical providers. Nothing in the app — including agent comments, calorie estimates, suggestions, weekly reviews, or recommendations — constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Talk to a real professional if you have:
- A diagnosed medical condition (diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, etc.)
- A history of eating disorders
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Recent surgery or significant medication changes
- Any reason to suspect the suggestions may harm you
Stop using Lemonmint and contact your healthcare provider immediately if you experience adverse symptoms you suspect are related to changes in your eating, weight, or stress level.
06AI-generated content.
Nora and Sage's comments, suggestions, and weekly insights are generated by AI models operated by a third-party provider. AI output can be wrong, outdated, or context-blind.
What this means in practice.
- Calorie estimates are best-guess approximations, not lab values
- Meal recognition may misidentify dishes, especially homemade or regional ones
- Agent suggestions reflect general nutritional patterns, not your specific health situation
- Voice attributed to "Nora" or "Sage" is generated content, not a statement from a human
What we expect of you.
Use Lemonmint's suggestions as one input, not the only one. Verify anything you'd act on medically — including but not limited to calorie targets, macronutrient ratios, recommended weight changes, or claims about specific foods.
07Paid features.
At launch, all core features are free: logging, the AI team, weekly reviews, dietitian connect. We may introduce a premium tier after launch with additional features.
How billing will work.
- Paid subscriptions will be billed through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android), not directly by Lemonmint
- You can cancel from your store account at any time
- Refunds are handled by the store per their refund policies — we cannot issue refunds directly
- Cancelling stops the next renewal; access continues until the current period ends
No paywalls in front of basics. Logging meals, weight, and seeing your AI team's comments will always be free.
08Acceptable use.
Don't use Lemonmint to:
- Submit unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent content
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or scrape the service
- Share your account access with another person
- Bypass rate limits or technical controls
- Test medical hypotheses on yourself or others using Lemonmint as the measurement instrument
- Resell, sublicense, or use Lemonmint output for a competing product
- Submit other people's photos without their permission
We may pause your account, remove content, or terminate your access if you violate these rules.
09Intellectual property.
What's ours.
Lemonmint — including the name, the lemonmint.wordmark, the K monogram, the agent characters (Nora, Sage, and any future team members), the app design, and the underlying code — is owned by Lemonmint and its licensors. You don't get rights to any of it just by using the service.
What's yours.
Your meal logs, photos, weight entries, notes, and any other content you submit remains yours. You grant us a limited, revocable license to store, process, and display this content solely to run Lemonmint for you. This license ends when you delete the content or delete your account (see our privacy policy for retention details).
Feedback.
If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use it without obligation or compensation to you. We won't claim attribution or imply endorsement.
10Termination.
How you end it.
Delete your account any time from the app (Settings → Account → Delete) or at mylemonmint.com/delete-account. See our privacy policy for the deletion timeline.
How we end it.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Materially violate these terms
- Engage in fraud or abuse
- Create legal or safety risk for us or other users
- Don't respond to required identity or eligibility verification
We'll give you reasonable notice when we can, except where notice would cause harm or be legally prohibited. You can appeal by emailing support@mylemonmint.com.
What survives.
Sections 09 (Intellectual property), 11 (Disclaimers and liability), 12 (Dispute resolution), and any obligations around fees owed survive termination.
11Disclaimers and limitation of liability.
Service provided as-is.
Lemonmint is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure beyond commercially reasonable measures, or that AI suggestions will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.
No outcome guarantee.
We don't guarantee any specific weight loss, health improvement, or other outcome from using Lemonmint. Results depend on factors outside our control.
Limitation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lemonmint is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) US$100.
Some places don't allow this.
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations or disclaimers. In those places, the above applies to the maximum extent permitted by local law.
12Dispute resolution.
Talk to us first.
If something's wrong, email support@mylemonmint.comand describe the issue. We'll respond within 30 days and make a good-faith attempt to resolve it informally.
Governing law.
These terms are governed by the laws of {JURISDICTION} (to be confirmed by Mo before launch), without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
Arbitration / courts.
Disputes that can't be resolved informally will be settled through binding arbitration in {JURISDICTION}, except where local consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring claims in your local courts.
Class action waiver.
You and Lemonmint each agree to bring claims only on an individual basis, not as part of a class action, where permitted by law.
13Changes.
We may update these terms to reflect changes in the service, in applicable law, or in our business. Material changes — anything that materially affects your rights or obligations — will be announced via email at least 30 days before they take effect.
Continued use of Lemonmint after the effective date of an update constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you don't accept an update, your option is to stop using the service and delete your account before the effective date.
Version history.
The version date is at the top of this page. Prior versions are available on request from support@mylemonmint.com.
